Eco Therapy and Nature-based Art Therapy

Nature Based Art Therapy online

Eco Therapy & Nature-based Art Therapy

Eco-Art Therapy uses natural materials as a way of exploring and making sense of the various aspects in a client’s life. This type of therapy is often focused on ephemeral art pieces and mindful process, as well as cultivating a deeper and more grounded 'sense of place'. Eco Art Therapy can be an effective way to address climate anxiety and climate grief. The aim of Eco Art Therapy is to develop connection between people and their environment in order to encourage positive mental health, and to encourage more ease of being.

“Eco-therapy works with the concept that when we are connected to our natural environment, we are healthier and happier. It works to develop connection between people and their environment in order to encourage mental health. Eco-therapy sees nature as a co-therapist in the process and draws on nature’s ability to provide metaphors for life situations, to place the client’s problems in the wider cycles of life, and to contain emotions” (Emily McCullough)

Nature-Based Art Therapy (online)

Online nature-based art therapy sessions are a very effective way to explore aspects that are important and 'carry meaning' in your life. An online session runs for 1 hour and can build on previous sessions, leading to an ongoing inquiry where you can journal and inquire more deeply in your own personal time, and continue to bring insights to the therapeutic relationship during online sessions.

Nature-based art therapy can also be combined with IFS therapy - integrating these two modalities can be a powerful way to cultivate more self-compassion and bring clarity and sense of purpose to your daily rhythms.

60 minute online session (via Zoom) - $140

Please be in touch via the contact form to schedule a session or to find out more. I offer a free initial consult to answer your questions and to provide more information.
